Lockheed said the strakes are the "least desirable solution" to their
"buffeting problem". Lockheed never claimed the strakes did not exist, but
only that AV 19 has a different fix. In fact, Lockmart has either fixed the
problem this time, or they are into some Bullwinkle fantasy:"this time for

Lockmart never claimed they didn't use strakes to fix the buffeting problem.
(tail delamination) What Lockmart claims is that AV-19's tail spar changes
are a fix that works. This fix will be "strike three", should it fail.
(FY05 cancellation)

Garlington/Mehaffry F-22/WAAS) Newsgroup dishonesy is of course less
problematic than lockmart trying to cover up the F-22's departure from
